TaqMan SNP Genotyping Service

MGC offers both custom-designed and off-the-shelf ABI TaqMan SNP genotyping. One SNP is typed in a single experiment on 384-well-plate. Multiples of 96 samples are required, though only 92 samples can be placed by customer on each 96-well-plate; 4 open controls per 96-well-plate will be provided by MGC for internal quality control. MGC will transfer DNA samples from 96-well-plate to 384-well-plate with robot.

ABI Custom TaqMan® SNP Genotyping Assays

Both SNPs and insertion-deletions of up to six bases can be designed and ordered through ABI Custom TaqMan® SNP Genotyping Assays. Researcher can design SNPs in either human or non-human species. DNA sequence (~300 bp) and target SNP information are needed. Use ABI free File Builder software to submit sequences. ABI provides a tutorial about how to evaluate the quality of sequence information.

MGC would be happy to assist with assay design and/or ordering.
